Another era over
Dec. 15th, 2022 12:41 pmGot on my 3DS for the first time in a while to see the notification that they're officially discontinuing the use of cards in the eShop this May. As sad as it is to officially get notice of from the device itself, it was inevitable. I just feel as if it would be less disappointing if Nintendo actually cared to platform their games in ways that the public could easily get ahold of them.
Physical copies of 3DS games are already so so hard to come across. Without access to eShop you might as well just stick to emulation as a whole instead of bothering to play it on the device it was intended for. There's also a huge chance that you won't be able to emulate a lot of 3DS titles at all. Gone Forever.
I know I'm just spewing information that's already well-known, but I'd like to rant. It makes me sad. Common emotion for a Nintendo fan though.
